**Description** **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring skilled **Journeyman HVAC Technicians** for projects located in the **Tacoma, WA area** . This is a full time opportunity, and the pay rate is **$40-42/hour** based on experience plus **$125/day per diem** for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are an HVAC Journeyman eager to master your skills while working alongside our accomplished Craft Professionals, this is your chance to advance your career! **Job Scope:** + Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, wiring, piping, and thermostats + Interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes to determine optimal system layout + Set up and connect HVAC equipment such as furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, chillers, boilers, and ventilation systems + Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and components + Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using tools and meters + Repair or replace defective parts such as motors, bearings, valves, belts, and sensors + Charge systems with refrigerants and verify proper operation + Test system performance using specialized equipment and ensure systems meet specifications + Follow local HVAC codes, OSHA standards, and company safety policies + Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inventory logs + Collaborate with engineers, apprentices, and subcontractors on larger projects + Communicate effectively with clients or building managers regarding system status, repair options, and maintenance plans + Provide training or instructions to users on system operation if needed **Requirements** + HVAC Journeyman certification + EPA Section 608 Certification (Type I, II, or Universal) + Minimum 4 years of HVAC installation, maintenance, or repair experience + Strong understanding of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems, controls, and safety procedures + Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals + Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and operate in various weather conditions **Company Details** Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
