Job Description
As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC, refrigeration, and building pump systems. Your role will include troubleshooting both high and low voltage electrical issues and ensuring systems operate efficiently, safely, and meet code requirements.
ResponsibilitiesInspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, and building pump systems.Troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems, including electrical issues.Diagnose refrigeration cycles and electrical systems safely.Install HVAC and refrigeration equipment per industry standards and local codes.Perform quality inspections during system start-ups.Respond to emergency service calls during and outside normal hours.Maintain company vehicle according to policy and manufacturer guidelines.Transport tools, equipment, and supplies as needed for job completion.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC service.EPA Certification.Proficiency in measuring and identifying different voltages.Deep understanding of refrigeration cycles including superheat/subcooling, TXV operation and adjustment.Ability to measure and interpret gas pressures.Proficiency in diagnosing sensors, thermistors, and control devices.Experience with VFDs: programming, troubleshooting, and error code resolution.Additional Skills & QualificationsUnderstanding of cooling tower, chiller, and boiler loops and their temperature requirements.Proficient in the use of refrigerant gauges, vacuum gauge, battery drills, pipe wrenches, and basic hand tools.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work will be conducted on customer sites, both outdoors and indoors. Standard working hours are 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with the requirement to be on call 24/7 eventually.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
