Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an experienced HVAC Service Technician. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various commercial HVAC systems, restaurant refrigeration equipment, and chillers. We require a minimum of 5 years of commercial experience or journeyman-level certification.

ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems, chillers, and restaurant refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and prep tables.Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and system testing.Troubleshoot refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and controls.Work on rooftop units, split systems, VRF systems, and exhaust systems.Install, replace, and service HVAC and refrigeration components.Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and team members.Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.Follow safety procedures and industry standards.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration or journeyman-level certification.Strong refrigeration skills, including diagnosing and repairing refrigeration systems.EPA Universal Certification.Knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting for HVAC and refrigeration systems.Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Availability for on-call rotation and occasional after-hours service.Additional Skills & QualificationsOSHA 10 or 30 certification.Ability to use electrical software devices (e.g., Simpro).Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm with OT available. Participate in an on-call schedule rotation once a month. Be prepared to work in indoor or outdoor climates. The furthest site is 2 hours away, but we ensure our employees are home at night. Be comfortable with daily driving.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
