Job Title: HVAC Service Technician
Job Description

As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for the operation, replacement, repair, and maintenance of all HVAC-related mechanical, electrical, and control systems. This includes working with chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handling units, pumps, heat exchangers, heaters, condensers, chilled and heating water piping, expansion joints, system controls, and air distribution systems. You will also perform major repairs on integrated building temperature controls.

ResponsibilitiesOperate, replace, repair, and maintain HVAC-related mechanical, electrical, and control systems.Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.Conduct complex repairs on air conditioning, heating, and ventilating components and systems.Make complex repairs to HVAC control systems, including air compressors and air dryers.Replace or install heaters, ventilation systems, and related equipment.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with commercial HVAC systems and building mechanical and electrical systems.Essential SkillsExpertise in HVAC systems and mechanical troubleshooting.Proficient in repair and service of HVAC equipment.Skilled in using hand tools for preventive maintenance.Ability to perform complex repairs on HVAC control systems.Experience with electrical and field service work.Additional Skills & QualificationsEPA certification is a plus.Experience as a maintenance technician in a related field.Work Environment

The position involves independently performing skilled tasks at client sites. Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting, operation, replacement, repair, and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems, water treatment, and other building mechanical and electrical systems. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, first shift, with on-call duties on weekends.

This is a Contract position based out of New York, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $39.00/hr.
