HVAC Sales - Critical FacilitiesOur client is a specialized manufacturer's rep firm of HVAC mechanical equipment used in industrial cooling applications for mission critical facilities operations. They help their customers, especially clients that are transitioning current colos / critical facilities to support new generation AI Servers with solutions that can handle the increase in heat load with various HVAC / CRAC / CRAH options that can save money by reducing energy and operating costs while modernizing their customer's existing mechanical infrastructure. Our client is looking for a HVAC Cooling Sales Rep to join their team. The focus is to make a major impact in the mission-critical data center industry across North America. This will be achieved by calling on our hyperscale and Colocation data center customers and upgrade their existing end-of-life mechanical systems with the most cost effective and efficient technology available. The ideal candidate will possess contacts in the Data Center / Critical Facilities Marketplace. They will call on established clients and prospect for new accounts. The Critical Facilities HVAC Sales Rep should have a proven track record of consultative data center solutions sales skills, along with a strong background in industrial level HVAC Cooling Mechanical Solutions.

Responsibilities:

Pursue opportunities with Data Center Hyperscale, Colos, and Enterprise Customers and sell company's mechanical cooling product lineReach out directly to end users - Enterprise, Colo and Hyperscale customers that have upcoming projects in the US with a primary focus of selling data center mechanical cooling solutions in the mission critical data center industryManaging relationships with partners, engineering firms, General Contractors (GCs), Mechanical Contractors, Mechanical Engineers, Architects, etc to stay aware of any new / upcoming projectsFPLC – Full project life cycle sales experience – tracking down the opportunity, bid proposal, pricing negotiations, closing orders, managing the client, managing the equipment process, billing, and collectionsEstablishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan to achieve the quota for the region in support of the growth objectivesGo to customer facilities to evaluate / scope out / perform site surveys to determine what types of solutions they might need by examining mechanical rooms, ceilings, and rooftopsResponsible for weekly and monthly reporting to improve pipeline qualification and quality of opportunities pursuedMonitor and discuss the progress of the sales opportunities with sales and senior leadershipUtilize the companies CRM tool to track, report, and manage all sales activitiesAbility to schedule sales meetings and presentations with qualified decision makersSet up "lunch and learns", host breakfasts, entertain when needed to promote businessEntertain clients by setting up fishing trips, golf events, ski trips, etcAttend events, trade shows and trade association meetings to facilitate networking opportunities - 7x24 Exchange, AFCOM / DataCenterWorld, ASHRAE, Uptime, Bisnow, DCD, etc.

Qualifications:

B/A or B/S a plus5 to 10 yrs.+ of relevant mechanical cooling (cooling towers, chillers, heat exchangers) sales experienceExperience selling industrial cooling systems solutions with OEMs like: Trane, Munters, Liebert / Vertiv, Daikin, Johnson Controls / JCI, Carrier, Nortek, etc. Business Contacts– Critical Facility Executives: C Level (as needed), VP of IT, Director of Facilities, Facilities Managers, etc.Strong professional network in the Data Center / Critical Facilities Market a must – Clients, Resellers, Engineering Firms, Manufacturer’s, Mechanical Contractors, Mechanical Engineers, etc.Contacts with design / build, construction, commissioning, and operations / maintenance of data centers is a huge plusMust be a team player and be able to build long-term cooperative partner relationships with internal and external individuals who are part of the business development processActive members of business organizations such as 7x24 Exchange, AFCOM, ASHRAE, Uptime, Bisnow, etc.Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize Must be able to demonstrate a sustained track record of business development accomplishments as related to new business opportunities Proficient with Customer relationship management platformsProficient with Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)Required travel as needed and candidate should be near an airport
