Explore this unique role with McDonald’s as an HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be responsible to repair and maintain the HVAC equipment amongst other equipment across the organization. In this role you will be working on various building utility services. The HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic assists with the installation of electrical equipment and maintains schedules for planned maintenance. In this role, you will ensure the efficiency of 13 McDonald’s locations in Brooklyn, Queens & Long Island. Install, Repair, Replace, Maintain Food Service Equipment Respond to “Dispatch" work order requests Install new refrigeration, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems Inspect current HVAC and Refrigeration systems for function, effectiveness and safety Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and Refrigeration systems to increase longevity Conduct performance tests with specialized tools Repair damaged HVAC systems Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues Must have an in-depth knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systems Requisition parts and materials and maintain inventory Must be available when the job requires, this may mean evening & weekend work in emergency situations Must be able to work independently as well as with others. Must be proficient in verbal and written communication. Must be able to work at an efficient pace, to diagnose and repair equipment. Must be able to determine when multiple repair options are available. Able to lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis & climb a ladder Able to work on-call, in rotation with other technicians Compensation: (Based on experience and education) 3 Weeks Paid Vacation Company truck & fuel Medical & Dental Coverage Continuing education and training provided and paid for!
