Job Description
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer specializing in sheet metal installation for the heating and cooling industry. Your role will involve fabricating and installing ductwork in new and renovated commercial buildings. You will work from blueprints to create and install ductwork on-site. This position is often referred to as 'tin knocking.'
ResponsibilitiesFabricate and install ductwork according to construction documents.Measure and cut sheet metal for ductwork installation.Drive to job sites up to 40 miles from Grand Rapids.Utilize hand tools such as hammers, tape measures, screwdrivers, and cutters.Collaborate with other trades and team members on-site to achieve daily goals.Essential SkillsProficiency in sheet metal installation and ductwork fabrication.Ability to accurately measure ducts and read a tape measure.Experience with hand and power tools.3+ years of commercial experience in sheet metal and HVAC installation.Reliable transportation for travel to job sites in West Michigan.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of HVAC systems and controls.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing equipment.Experience reading blueprints and construction documents.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work on the 1st shift, starting between 6/7am and ending around 3/4pm, with 9-10 hour shifts depending on project assignments. You will work on construction-based projects in locations such as Holland, Grand Haven, Muskegon, and Grand Rapids. The role involves collaborating with other trades and partners in an active production environment, working within teams of 2-10 to complete installation tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
