The HVAC & Gas Technician, reporting to the Account Director, is responsible for implementing and documenting an effective preventive maintenance program that maintains all systems in a good working condition at the Canadian Forces Base in Thunder Bay.
Your work will include:
Maintaining Chillers, Cooling Towers, RTU, AHU, Gas and air conditioning unitsMaintenance of commercial kitchen equipment, including filter changes, and coil cleaningReplacing belts, pulleys, bearings, pump seals and associated assemblies, combustion test, balancing and adjusting.Responding to reactive maintenance calls to equipmentParticipate in educational programs, in-service training and attend meeting as requiredCommunicate the work status with the client groups via central call center within the time frame given in response time policyWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

QualificationsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Current Refrigeration and Air Conditioning System’s Mechanic Certificate 313AClass G1 Gas Fitter Certificate, TSSA, and OPD.Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstractPosses or be able to acquire Reliability Clearance Status within CISDMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar positionAbility to read, write and speak English fluently; French would be an assetComputer literate and familiar with MS word, excel and databaseCMMS and BAS experience is beneficialAbility to walk, bend, stoop, balance crawl and reach for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.Must be comfortable and able to work on a ladder. Working at Heights.
