Job DescriptionEstablish validation Test Plans for HVAC units, Specifications, Reliability testing and perform the tests in lab per the established planSupport build of all IPM and FARR simulation models for the new and legacy products by providing necessary inputsRaise Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and track their progressCreate component specifications to support resourcing and procurementUL & AHRI Regulatory knowledge and application to products testing and specification (AHRI, UL, ETL)Product development based on customer requirements and current or future regulations and transferring those requirements down to component levelTest prototypes, write development test reports and document results according to company rulesOversee product development tasks including testing, assembly & manufacturingCommunicating development and test validations results timelyEstablish & Deliver development test engineer tasks per planned Project Milestones and scopesOwnership to resolve technical problems or prompt response to address issues and escalate as neededBe a team player within cross function teams, understand multidiscipline needs (Engineering, Marketing, Assembly, Logistics, Purchasing etc.) and support them as neededAdhere to Safety & Security ProtocolsFollow-up on Test Plans, Ratings, Durability and ReliabilityStrong focus on quality and attention to detailTechnical risk assessment tools (FMEA, DRBFM) knowledge and experienceKnowledge and experience on DFMA (design for manufacturing and assembly)Proactively identify and address product & project issuesGuide and assist sample builds

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering disciplines (Mechanical / Mechatronics preferred)Experience with technical risk assessment tools (e.g., FMEA, DRBFM)Strong organizational & interpersonal skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsTest prototypes and write reports to document resultsDevelop specifications, detailing and assembly drawings for products and equipmentProficient in Microsoft Office

Additional Information

Experience in some of the following areas is a plus:

+3 years HVAC knowledge and experienceHVAC System Optimization Experience (Flow, Efficiency, Capacity)Design experience with CAD tools (e.g., NX, AutoCAD)FEA and / or CFD Analysis ToolsData Analysis (Excel, Programming languages, etc.)
