**HVAC Brazers/Solderers Wanted in Brampton, ON!** **Job Description** The HVAC Brazer/Solderer is responsible for cutting, assembling, brazing, and soldering various tubing materials, including copper, brass, stainless steel, and carbon steel, for HVAC systems. This role involves using flame torches to join refrigeration piping, ensuring leak-free connections while maintaining high-quality standards. This is a 4-month contract-to-hire job, with the opportunity to become a permanent employee with the company after successful completion of the contract. **Responsibilities** + Perform brazing operations for refrigeration systems, joining materials such as copper to copper, copper to brass, and copper to stainless steel using appropriate brazing filler material. + Utilize oxy-acetylene, oxy-propane, or oxy-natural gas torches for brazing processes. + Apply standard brazing techniques to prevent oxidation, including nitrogen purging, to create strong, clean, and leak-free braze joints. + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to assemble HVAC units. + Cut, fit, and join refrigerant lines, condensers, evaporators, and compressors as required. + Ensure brazed joints meet company and industry standards such as AHRI, NFPA, CSA, or UL. + Conduct visual inspections and pressure tests, such as nitrogen leak tests, to verify leak-free joints. + Maintain high-quality workmanship in compliance with HVAC industry standards. + Follow all workplace safety procedures, including PPE use, and proper handling of torches, gases, and metals. + Maintain, clean, and inspect torches, hoses, tanks, and brazing tools daily. **Requirements** + Minimum of 2 years of experience in brazing and soldering. + Proficiency in oxy-acetylene, oxy-propane, and oxy-natural gas brazing. + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions. + Understanding of heat transfer, thermal expansion, and metal joining techniques. **Why Work Here?** Gain strong industry knowledge and expertise in a collaborative environment.
