This position monitors and ensures that the appropriate service level is provided as set by policies and regulations, and oversees and manages assigned staff. Human Resource Contact: Tammy 307-335-6784 tammalee.keysaw1@wyo.gov ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level. + Oversee and manage assigned staff in the performance of their duties, including leadership, hiring, scheduling, evaluating, training, monitoring, and conducting disciplinary actions as needed. + Ensure sufficient staffing numbers and staff competencies to perform the active treatment. + Assign subordinates to shifts, days, work locations, and duties that maximize active resident treatment, health, and safety. + Monitor the implementation of services to residents and give feedback. + Serve as a team member of the ISP. + Communicates and problem-solves with other staff concerning the implementation of resident goals and agency objectives. + Ensure materials, resources, and supplies are available and resolve maintenance issues. + Assist in personal care and active treatment implementation for residents. + Coordinate and schedule leisure/recreational activities for residents. + Ensure timely and proper written and oral information and documentation. + Attend meetings and training. + Participate in on-call rotation. + Other duties as assigned. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE: + Knowledge of policies and procedures of the agency, department, state personnel rules, and ICF/SNF regulations. + Skills in leadership, supervision, team-building, motivation, and staff development. + Skills in oral and written communication at an excellent level, including the ability to listen, resolve conflicts, mediate, and problem-solve. + Knowledge of developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, acquired brain injury, behavior interventions, and habilitation methods and strategies. + Ability to translate plans, policies, and procedures into action plans. + Ability to serve as an effective communication liaison with other departments, agencies, families, and guardians. + Ability to operate a computer and use applicable software applications. + Ability to work around/with WLRC residents, including those who may display challenging behaviors. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Substitution: 4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Human Services) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Human Services Shift Supervisor OR Education: Bachelor's Degree (typically in Healthcare) Experience: 0-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Human Services) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Human Services Shift Supervisor Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None Necessary Special Requirements PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: + Ability to safely move (twisting, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling), position, and lift people with multiple and severe disabilities. + Ability to monitor sounds, noises, residents' location, etc., in order to assure safety and assess imminent danger and emerging concerns. NOTES: + FLSA: Non-Exempt + A background check, including the taking of fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant. + The Wyoming Life Resource Center participates in E-Verify.
