Job Title: Human Resources Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Specialist to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate personnel files and records, answering questions from applicants and employees, and acting as a liaison with external benefits providers. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to handle specialized administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files, records, and documentation.Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding standard policies, benefits, and hiring processes.Refer complex questions to senior-level HR staff or management.Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, including health, disability, and retirement plan providers.Assist the Human Resource Manager with complex and specialized administrative tasks or projects.Process forms and claims such as verification of employment, EDD forms/claims, garnishments, and child support orders.Assist with the preparation of Human Resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports.Reset system passwords.Participate in meetings and group sessions as required.Identify opportunities for process improvement.Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in employee relations and HR administration.Experience with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, such as ADP.Strong customer service skills.At least one year of experience in a human resources role.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.Experience in employee file creation and organization.Experience in recruiting is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite in Downtown Los Angeles, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You will join a growing HR team, expanding from 7 to 15 members, offering future growth opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
