Job Title: Human Resources Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Specialist to coordinate and manage all aspects of the new hire onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition for new employees from offer acceptance through their first 90 days. You will facilitate new hire orientation and assist with necessary documentation, serving as the primary point of contact for onboarding inquiries.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage the onboarding process for new hires from offer acceptance to their first 90 days.Facilitate new hire orientation and assist with the completion of required documentation.Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees regarding onboarding questions.Ensure completion of employment verification, compliance checks, and other necessary onboarding tasks.Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure new employees have appropriate system access, equipment, and workspace.Track onboarding progress and maintain accurate records in UKG.Assist with employee status changes, transfers, and other HR administrative duties.Partner with Talent Acquisition and work closely with payroll, IT, and security departments.Essential Skills
Proficiency in onboarding and HR administrative support.Experience in human resources, employee relations, and HR systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Experience with employee benefits and HR support.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is preferred.2-4 years of HR experience.Experience with employee onboarding, HR operations, and workforce services.Healthcare HR experience is preferred but not required.Knowledge of the UKG system is beneficial as it is a new system, but not required.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
