Location: Bloomington, IN hybrid flexibility, in office 3 days and remote 2 days 

Schedule: Full-Time 8:00am – 4:30pm

About the Role
The Human Resources Principal is a strategic liaison between HR and the business to help achieve strategic goals. These senior HR professionals have a deep understanding of the business and ensure that HR helps the business make an impact. They are responsible for adding value to the organization and helping the business make decisions, especially during times of change. Provide HR expertise and consulting for building organizational capability to achieve current and future business objectives through the development of proactive Human Resources strategy and practices. Drives and influences key organizational health and engagement initiatives with the business and provides advice, counsel and executes key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Being a coach and consultant: understand how current and future challenges impact the people in their organization to provide valuable advice and coaching to key stakeholders. 

• Put business acumen to work; connect business issues to HR activities and outcomes and help the business tackle challenges and build effective working relationships. 

• Empower leaders: create an environment where leaders are equipped to handle most day-to-day workforce issues on their own. This helps contribute to a strong organizational culture and improved organizational effectiveness. 

• Use data to influence decisions: use data strategically and track KPIs to drive performance and achieve objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree required; Masters preferred 

• 7-10 years of broad HR experience with progressive HRBP experience 

• Professional HR certifications strongly preferred 

• Proven experience in providing advice, counsel and coaching to leaders with the ability to influence and champion effective leadership and change 

• Excellent stakeholder management

• Ability to guide the application of HR related regulations and laws (e.g. FLSA, FLMA, ADA, etc.) 

• Experience in a matrixed organization and complex work environment 

• Requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of several functional areas of HR 

• Strong communication and presentation skills 

• Requires basic proficiency in MS office products.
