Human Resources Officer (Pre-Opening)
**Description:** **ANdAZ Gold Coast** At ANdAZ Gold Coast, we move to the rhythm of ocean light and hinterland hush. We believe hospitality begins with our people. Opening mid-2026 in the heart of Broadbeach, ANdAZ Gold Coast will bring 202 design-led rooms and suites, a vibrant Pool Club, layered food and beverage experiences, and a culture shaped by curiosity and connection. As we prepare to open our doors, we’re looking for a Human Resources Officer to join our pre-opening team — someone who understands that culture is built deliberately, not accidentally. This is an opportunity to help shape how ANdAZ feels from the inside out. **The Role** As Human Resources Officer, you’ll support the full associate journey — from recruitment and onboarding through to development, engagement and wellbeing. You’ll work closely with leaders across the hotel, helping create a workplace that is organised, compliant, people-focused and grounded in empathy. This is a hands-on generalist role within a pre-opening environment. It calls for initiative, attention to detail and emotional intelligence. **What You’ll Do** + Support 360° recruitment and selection — identifying people who align with our values and culture + Assist with onboarding and induction processes for new associates + Coordinate and deliver key Hyatt learning modules + Support associate relations and provide guidance to Department Heads and Managers + Conduct fortnightly payroll audits in partnership with Hyatt Australia payroll + Assist with internal communication and associate engagement initiatives + Support Occupational Health & Safety processes and contribute to our Safety Committee + Handle confidential administrative matters with care and professionalism Pre-opening is dynamic. Systems are evolving. You’ll help create structure where needed — while remaining flexible as the hotel comes to life. **Qualifications:** **About You** You care about people. You listen. You bring calm energy to conversations. You likely have: + A genuine interest in Human Resources and people development + Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships + Excellent organisation and attention to detail + Solid administrative and computer skills + A relevant qualification in Human Resources (or working towards one) This role would suit a recent graduate or early-career HR professional looking to grow in a high-volume, fast-moving environment. Experience within hospitality is desirable — but mindset matters most. **Why ANdAZ** At ANdAZ, we are confidently local and globally minded. Design-led. Curious. Warm without script. We believe in caring for people so they can be their best — and that begins with how we support our associates. This is your opportunity to help shape culture from day one. To influence how teams connect. To be part of building something new. Please note: You must have full working rights in Australia to apply. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role. If you’re ready to help build a workplace that feels considered, human and energising — we’d love to hear from you. **Primary Location:** AU-QL-Gold Coast **Organization:** Andaz Gold Coast **Job Level:** Full-time **Job:** Human Resources **Req ID:** GOL000291 Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
