Job Description
The Human Resources & Office Administration Manager – El Salvador will collaborate with Invenergy's HR team to support our local employees within various areas of HR such as recruitment, performance management, policy development, employment law compliance, employee relations, talent development and training, and office management. The position will also support monitoring labor compliance of its local contractors and complying with labor related requirements under the finance agreements. This position will be based in our San Salvador office and reports to Invenergy’s Regional HR Manager – Latin America, coordinating efforts with El Salvador Country Manager. Periodic commuting to Invenergy’s project sites within El Salvador will be required.
Responsibilities:
Act as the main point of contact on all employee matters for the El Salvador locations.
Foster employee engagement initiatives
Respond to and resolve employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Support department heads to plan talent development initiatives
Partner with Corporate HR team to develop and administer the performance management process.
Advise management and employees on Salvadorian labor law.
Ensure relevant standards, processes and regulations are upheld in accordance with company policy, as well as local laws.
Monitor local policies and procedures to ensure consistency and fairness among employees.
Monitoring labor compliance of Invenergy’s main local contractors
Maintain the employee handbook and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures.
Provide oversight and maintain records related to grievances and disciplinary actions.
Escalate staff grievances and internal complaints to Corporate HR Management team.
Ensure the company meets all labor-related covenants and reporting obligations required by Lenders
Provide support in compensation and benefits.
Lead recruitment efforts for positions in El Salvador.
Support, coordinate, and facilitate onboarding.
Manage employment contracts and coordinate documentation related to employment status changes; provide guidance on employment status changes and contract amendments.
Manage the offboarding process including exit interviews, paperwork, system deactivation, final pay processing, equipment collection, etc.
Oversee general office management and administration for the San Salvador office
Manage relationships with office vendors and service providers, including lease administration, cleaning services, security, and office supplies
Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, and visits, ensuring smooth execution of internal and external engagements
Develop and monitor office budgets and expenses
Supervise administrative in-house and outsourced personnel
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Psychology, or related field (master’s degree preferred)
Progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial or leadership roles.
In-depth knowledge of El Salvador’s labor law
Experience in conflict resolution and decision-making skills
Strong interpersonal and communications abilities
Ability to commute within El Salvador to visit Invenergy’s project sites
Advanced English proficiency.
