The ideal candidate for the Human Resources Manager/ Staff Accountant position will have experience in the Human Resource function with a high focus on recruitment and accounting. The position responsibilities include coordinating and managing the hotel's recruitment and selection process, hiring and onboarding, attending job fairs, assisting applicants with new hire paperwork, and serving as a valuable brand ambassador. In this role, the ideal candidate will also perform accounting-related duties and work closely with the director of finance, or assistant director of finance, as well as the accounting team, to achieve organizational goals. Whether it's career opportunities, job enrichment or a supportive work environment, if you are ready for this challenge, then we are ready for you. **Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions** **Accounting Function:** · Responsible to track all accounts payable processing, review and approve the weekly payment registers. · Collect and review every vendor statement to ensure accuracy. · Assist with month end close, monthly accruals and general ledger reconciliations. · Assist with financial statement preparation, daily revenue and cash reconciliations and other related finance projects. · Review of daily revenue and labor reports & distribute to management. · Weekly accounts payable invoice, payment processing and review. **Human Resources Function:** · Execute all aspects of recruitment including, but not limited to assisting new applicants including walk-ins, screening and interviewing candidates, administer appropriate assessments and reference/background checks, make recommendations for hire (or not hire) and deliver employment offers. · Manage candidate activity in Taleo (applicant tracking system) according to company policy. · Manage the completion of new hire paperwork forms, including but not limited to I-9, and WOTC surveys. · Coordinate onboarding process with HR Manager. · Assist with orientation planning and execution. · Attend and coordinate candidate career resources such as career fairs to identify and attract quality candidates. · Develop advertising initiatives (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates through Taleo and other mediums. · Act as a single point of contact for managers regarding recruitment and assisting the team as needed with transfers and promotions. · Manage relationship with third party recruitment vendors. · Responsible for metrics and implementation of our corporate hiring initiatives, including RiseHY. · Assist with colleague communications, engagement and retention initiatives. · Other projects and duties as required/assigned.
