Human Resources Manager - Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort and Spa

What will I be doing?  

The Human Resources Manager leads employment processes and supports overall Human Resources responsibilities.  These include developing and managing the hiring process, conducting interviews, onboarding new team members, and administering HR programs that support a positive and compliant work environment. This role also oversees benefits administration, unemployment claims, HRIS updates, and the overall employment lifecycle.  Additionally, the Human Resources Manager assists in team member relations, ensures compliance with labor laws, maintains accurate personnel records, conducts exit interviews and analyzes trends, and contributes to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions: 

Monitor the hiring process, including applicant drug screens, background checks, motor vehicle record checks, interviews, offer letter review, and onboarding.

Collaborate closely with remotely based recruiters to ensure alignment of staffing needs, hiring timelines, and candidate quality.

Maintain accurate new hire documentation and ensure timely entry of information into the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Attend career fairs, hiring events, and community outreach initiatives to promote employment opportunities and build a strong talent pipeline.

Partner with department leaders to understand staffing requirements, workforce needs, consistency, and effective selection processes.

Assist with new team member orientation and onboarding to ensure a positive and seamless employment experience.

Support team members with internal and external transfer requests and related procedures.

Manage unemployment claims, responses, and hearings in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.

Maintain and update the HRIS with employment changes, including new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, and status updates.

Conduct exit interviews in a professional and confidential manner.

Analyze exit interview feedback and turnover trends to identify opportunities to improve team member engagement, retention, and management practices.

Address and resolve benefits-related questions and issues while maintaining accurate documentation.

Serve as a Human Resources subject matter expert and participate in cross-functional project teams.

Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures.

Accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for? 

High school graduate or equivalent.

Four-year college degree in a related field, or equivalent business experience.

Minimum of three years’ Human Resource experience required.

Strong organizational skills, multi-task oriented.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Typing 45 wpm or better.

PC skills, particularly Microsoft Office.

Strong team member relations skills.

Must possess excellent listening skills.

Must consistently promote a teamwork environment.
