Human Resources Manager
Job Title: Human Resources Manager Job Description The Human Resources Manager will oversee the full training and development budget, including forecasting and tracking. This role is pivotal in handling core HR responsibilities such as compliance with FMLA, ADA, and STD, employee relations, and conducting interviews. You will partner with an HR Coordinator to manage scheduling and onboarding for all new hires and agency workers, ensuring a smooth and consistent process. Additionally, you will maintain HR documentation, support policy interpretation, and assist leaders with HR best practices. Responsibilities + Manage the company's full training and development budget, including forecasting and tracking. + Handle core HR responsibilities such as FMLA, ADA, STD compliance, and employee relations. + Conduct interviews and support hiring decisions. + Partner with an HR Coordinator to manage scheduling and candidate onboarding for new hires and agency workers. + Ensure a smooth and consistent onboarding process. + Maintain HR documentation and support policy interpretation. + Assist leaders with HR best practices. Essential Skills + Minimum 6–8 years of progressive HR experience in a higher‑level or generalist/manager capacity. + Bachelor’s degree required. + Advanced Excel skills, including handling complex spreadsheets, formulas, and high‑volume reporting. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in performance management, employee benefits, recruitment, onboarding, and HRIS. + Knowledge of human resource policies and talent management. + Proficiency in benefits administration and FMLA. Work Environment This role is fully onsite with flexible hours, typically starting between 8-9am. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Portsmouth, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
