Primary ResponsibilitiesEnsure the fair and consistent application of HDR policies and procedures, addressing policy and procedure questions, including those of moderate complexityHandle general employee relations and performance management questions or issues for employeesAssist staff with leaves of absence and accommodation requestsPrepare and coordinate performance improvement plans for staff, coordinating with supervisors, managers and Area HR Manager or Corporate Employee Relations, Diversity and Inclusion departmentOversee/drive annual performance conversation review processParticipate in the investigation and resolution of employee concerns and complaints in coordination with the Area HR Manager and/or Regional HR DirectorConduct employee onboarding and offboarding activitiesCreate social media posts to assist with sharing promotional materials related to promotions, new hires and other office related activitiesLead and facilitate efforts to enhance employee experienceCoordinate training with the Area HR Manager and participate in the development of brown bag seminars and other local training activities for managersIn coordination with the Area HR Manager, develop and/or present a variety of training programs as neededOversee the completion of employee paperwork to corporate HRReview and analyze employee HRIS system queries periodically for accuracy of informationOther duties as assigned
Compensation and Benefits
Coordinate requested compensation market studies with managers, Area HR Manager, and corporate HRUnderstand basic HDR benefit plan provisions, assist with employees’ benefit-related questions of moderate complexity, and refers complex questions to corporate HRAssist the leadership with personnel administration, salary plans, and other special reportsAssist staff in accessing benefits and navigating benefits systemNew Hires/Recruiting
Assist with the hiring process, creating, inputting and tracking requisitionsCoordinate interview schedules to assist recruiters as neededCoordinate immigration information with the Immigration Coordinator as neededLead intern recruiting program in partnership with technical staff as neededFacilitate interviews for exempt level technical staff, participating as requested or necessaryInclusion, Diversity and Equity
Assist with building upon current practices to institute best-in-class efforts to promote inclusion, diversity and equity at all levels of the companyCreate the affirmative action plan for your office(s) and engage staff in activities in support of the planFocus on driving and supporting an inclusive work environment and on integrating inclusion, diversity and equity into everyday businessAssist with inclusion, diversity and equity functions and positive initiativesPreferred Qualifications Bachelor's degreeA/E or construction industry experiencePHR, SHPR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certificationRequired QualificationsA minimum of 5 years' Human Resources experienceDiscretion and the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive informationStrong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environmentHigh proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word and ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication and strong client service abilityStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationshipsExperience leading and attending performance conversationsAbility to facilitate employee trainingSelf-motivated, well-organized and detail-orientedAbility to travel 15% of the timeAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
