Human Resources Manager

Ecolab is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join its HR Team supporting our plant in Garyville, Louisianna. The HR Manager will be directly responsible for the HR strategy and initiatives of our Garyville plant will partner with operations to build and maintain employee culture while functioning as a change agent related to any employee related initiatives. The site has 24/7 operations and approximately 175 full-time associates and 30 contractors. This position will report to the Vice President of Human Resources, North America Operations.

What You Will Do:

Strategic Business Partnership

Actively engage with the site leadership team to learn about key talent issues/challenges, working with site leaders on the plan of action to resolve and/or prioritize

Participate in the sites’ leadership discussions to proactively bring forward HR solutions to help drive the sites and talent agenda forward

Plan, develop, and oversee the implementation of the HR vision and strategies

Foster a High Performing Organization

Be at the forefront of embodying, communicating, and nurturing our desired organizational culture, vision, and values

Foster a culture that promotes employee engagement, teamwork, customer service, accountability, and continuous improvement

Identify and champion recommendations for our retention strategy, ensuring our workforce remains engaged and motivated

Lead and manage HR projects designed to add value to the operations leveraging continuous improvement methodologies, including TPM

Recommend policy and practice changes in support of continuous improvement methodologies

Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.

Provide expert employee relations advice and coaching to employees and management, fostering a culture of trust and collaboration

Talent Management

Monitor and cultivate bench strength, identify high potential talent, oversee career pathing, and manage development initiatives

Assess current and future talent needs and work with the Talent Acquisition team on proactively developing strategies and plans to ensure a robust talent pipeline

Play a critical role in selecting and hiring for operations key positions, actively promoting Ecolab as an employer of choice

Manage and develop an HR team that provides oversight for the East region manufacturing and warehouse sites

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or other related area

6 years of progressive human resources generalist experience across multiple areas which may include a combination of HR generalist and specialist experience such as employee relations, compensation administration, training and development, and talent acquisition.

Previous manufacturing/plant experience

Excellent communication, presentation, and experience in a manufacturing environment

Extensive experience with and knowledge of labor and employment laws and what is permissible and not permissible within labor relations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional in Human Resource (PHR) or (SPHR) preferred

Advanced degree

Professional training or significant experience in union environment or collective bargaining preferred

Experience managing grievance processes, union campaigns, and negotiations.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $104,700.00 - $157,100.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
