Human Resources Manager
Description A growing hospitality company in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Manager to oversee their human resources department. This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work from home two days per week while supervising on-site HR functions for a vibrant team. This opportunity is perfect for a passionate HR professional with a background in employee development, compliance, and organizational strategy. Key Responsibilities: HR Leadership and Strategy: + Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s culture and business objectives. + Serve as a key advisor to department heads and senior management on all people-related matters, including workforce planning and policy development. + Oversee the execution of performance management programs, including annual reviews and goal-setting conversations. Talent Acquisition and Development: + Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including job posting, interviewing, and onboarding processes to ensure an exceptional employee experience. + Design and manage training programs that enhance the skills of employees at all levels. + Foster a culture of continuous learning and create initiatives to develop internal leadership opportunities. Employee Relations and Compliance: + Act as the main point of contact for employee concerns or disputes, ensuring all issues are handled confidentially and in alignment with company policies and labor laws. + Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, including wage and hour laws, anti-discrimination laws, and OSHA regulations within the hospitality industry. + Manage all employee data, including records for time tracking, benefits enrollment, and leave balances, ensuring accuracy and compliance with privacy laws. Payroll and Benefits Oversight: + Collaborate with finance and payroll teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll operations. + Evaluate and manage employee benefits programs to attract new talent and retain employees. + Continuously review and improve compensation strategies to remain competitive within the hospitality market. Requirements + 5+ years of experience in HR roles, preferably within the hospitality or service industries. + PHR or SHRM-CP certification is highly preferred. + Strong knowledge of California employment laws and federal labor regulations. + Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and leadership skills. + Proficiency with HR software and systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Paycor).
