Human Resources (HR) Manager
Description Our client in the Lawrenceville area is looking for a Human Resources Manager that reports directly to the Vice President of People Services and leads a team of human resources professionals. This position is responsible for overseeing daily human resources operations across specific departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a supportive, productive, and people-focused workplace culture. The manager will serve as a mentor, provide guidance on complex employee matters, and drive the effective implementation of policies and programs. It is a contract to hire, fully onsite. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor a team of human resources professionals to ensure alignment with department and organization-wide goals Provide leadership and support on complex employee issues, including performance improvement, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters Translate strategic organizational goals into effective human resources actions and processes Oversee the performance evaluation process, coaching efforts, and employee development planning Serve as a connection between human resources and senior leadership, ensuring communication and consistency in workforce planning and talent development Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline human resources processes with a focus on employee experience and organizational impact Use data and workplace trends to inform human resources decision-making and improve effectiveness of services Ensure policies and practices are applied fairly and in compliance with all relevant employment laws Support the design and delivery of employee training, performance management tools, and engagement activities Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (hours may vary based on department needs) Travel: Occasional travel is required for this role Compensation: $80,000 annually Requirements Qualifications: Required Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field with at least seven years of relevant professional experience OR A master’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field with at least five years of relevant professional experience Required Skills and Experience: Experience in managing human resources functions, including employee relations, performance oversight, and workforce planning Previous supervisory or leadership experience guiding human resources staff Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop professional team members Strong understanding of employment laws, workplace compliance standards, and human resources best practices Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills focused on collaboration and solution-building Ability to analyze workplace data to inform decisions and enhance human resources programs Background in organizational development and strategic planning Awareness and understanding of practices that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace Competence in the use of office technology, including word processing, spreadsheets, and other digital tools commonly used in human resources Preferred Qualifications: Advanced human resources certification or formal recognition of professional expertise Experience leading or mentoring human resources teams in implementing inclusive and equitable workplace practices High-level proficiency in handling sensitive employee matters, such as investigations and complex conflict resolution Ability to use data to drive improvements in employee engagement, retention, and program effectiveness Clearances & Background Check Required: TalentMatch® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
