Human Resources (HR) Assistant
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Santa Barbara, California. This role will involve providing essential support to the HR department, particularly during the busy benefits open enrollment period. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, reliable, and ready to assist with a variety of tasks, ensuring smooth operations and timely completion of assignments. Responsibilities: • Accurately perform data entry tasks related to HR records and systems. • Provide administrative support during benefits open enrollment, including answering employee inquiries and ensuring proper documentation. • Assist with onboarding processes, ensuring all required paperwork and procedures are completed promptly. • Conduct clerical tasks such as filing, scheduling, and preparing reports to support HR operations. • Coordinate necessary documentation and communication for HR processes as needed. • Maintain organized and up-to-date HR records, ensuring compliance with company policies. • Collaborate with team members to manage employee relations tasks as assigned. • Jump into various projects and assignments as needed, delivering high-quality results without taking ownership of broader initiatives. • Ensure pristine attendance and punctuality to support the team effectively. • Utilize Microsoft Office and HRIS systems efficiently to complete assigned tasks. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in an HR support role or related administrative position. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Familiarity with HRIS systems and the ability to quickly learn new software tools. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation. • Effective communication skills to interact with employees and team members professionally. • Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to delivering quality results. • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
