Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Columbus, Indiana. In this Contract role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting HR operations, ensuring compliance, and maintaining efficient processes. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with over two years of HR experience who thrive in dynamic environments.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and update employee records within HRIS and other human resources software.
• Facilitate orientations and onboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for employees.
• Conduct interviews and assist in recruitment efforts, including sourcing and screening candidates.
• Oversee and maintain personnel files, ensuring accuracy and adherence to compliance standards.
• Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, including auditing and resolving discrepancies.
• Perform background checks and verify employment information as part of the hiring process.
• Support corporate recruiting initiatives by collaborating with hiring managers and external partners.
• Ensure HR compliance by monitoring processes and updating policies as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service to employees by addressing HR-related inquiries promptly.
• Assist with electronic document management and file maintenance to streamline HR operations. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources or a related field.
• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and other HRMS platforms.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel for document creation and data analysis.
• Familiarity with HR compliance, background checks, and personnel file management.
• Experience conducting interviews and facilitating orientations for new team members.
• Knowledge of benefits administration and auditing processes.
• Ability to manage electronic document systems effectively.
