Human Resources (HR) Assistant
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis in Middle Village, New York. This role involves supporting various HR functions, including payroll systems, benefits, and recruitment processes, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and bring strong interpersonal and technical skills to the position. Responsibilities: • Manage employee data and records using HRMS platforms, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. • Support payroll administration processes, including ADP Workforce Now and other systems. • Coordinate recruitment activities, such as posting job openings and scheduling interviews. • Conduct background checks and assist with onboarding processes for new hires. • Assist in the administration of employee benefits, providing clear communication and support. • Perform audits to ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations. • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR matters, delivering excellent customer service. • Collaborate with team members to improve HR workflows and operational efficiency. • Maintain familiarity with ATS systems to streamline recruitment and applicant tracking. • Generate reports and analyze data to support decision-making within the HR department. Requirements • Proficiency in HRMS platforms, including ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian. • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment processes. • Familiarity with payroll administration and benefits management. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Knowledge of auditing procedures and compliance requirements. • Previous experience conducting background checks and onboarding activities. • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
