Human Resources (HR) Assistant
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Burbank, California. In this role, you will provide vital support to HR operations, ensuring smooth processes across recruitment, employee onboarding, and training initiatives. This position requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism and discretion. Responsibilities: • Support the development, organization, and evaluation of training programs to enhance employee skills and growth. • Assist in the creation of internal training materials, including videos, to improve learning experiences. • Participate in recruitment activities by screening applications and coordinating interviews with hiring teams. • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientations and preparing necessary documentation. • Maintain compliance with labor laws by updating and monitoring labor law posters and assisting with handbook revisions. • Provide first-tier support to employees regarding policies, benefits, and procedures, escalating complex inquiries when needed. • Organize and coordinate company events to promote employee engagement. • Prepare and deliver HR metrics and payroll data to the HR Director. • Oversee employee information and documentation updates within HRIS systems. • Schedule meetings, arrange travel, and support the preparation of presentations and conference calls for HR leadership. Requirements • Proficiency in HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft, UltiPro, or similar platforms. • Strong knowledge of California labor laws and benefits administration processes. • Experience in recruitment activities, including candidate sourcing and conducting phone interviews. • Skilled in coordinating schedules, meetings, and events with attention to detail. • Familiarity with employee onboarding procedures and new documentation processes. • Ability to manage and interpret payroll metrics and HR data. • Excellent communication skills to address employee inquiries effectively. • Proven organizational abilities to prioritize tasks and manage workloads efficiently.
