Human Resources (HR) Assistant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support key HR functions, including onboarding and offboarding processes, benefits administration, and employee record maintenance. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to supporting our HR operations.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes, including creating and deactivating accounts.
• Assist employees with enrollment in insurance plans and other benefits.
• Generate and review basic HR reports to ensure data accuracy.
• Track employee time-off requests and maintain accurate records.
• Update and manage floor plans and organizational charts to reflect current staffing.
• Administer employee training accounts and monitor compliance.
• Organize and clean up employee files to ensure proper documentation.
• Conduct audits and background checks as needed to support HR compliance.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing employee inquiries and concerns. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and ATS.
• Experience with HRMS platforms and benefit functions.
• Strong ability to perform audits and background checks.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with tracking time-off systems and employee records.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Previous experience in financial services or a similar industry is a plus. TalentMatch®
