Waldorf Astoria Atlanta is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join their amazing Human Resources team at this gorgeous Atlanta property!

Located in one of Atlanta's most prestigious neighborhoods, this Forbes 4-Star hotel is a 42-story tower with over 200 rooms (127 guest rooms plus residences), over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and 3 food and beverage outlets. This includes the 3-meal restaurant, bar, and in-room dining.

What will I be doing?
Please note that this is NOT a recruiter or HR manager role.

\n\nCreate job requisitions and work closely with the corporate recruitment team. \nCoordinate applicant interviews with department managers.\nEnsure completion of required pre-employment screenings, i.e., background and reference checks.\nConfirm employment eligibility through E-Verify I-9 compliance.\nSend communications to new hires.\nComplete New Hire Onboarding process to include new hire paperwork, uniform fittings, ID cards and requesting nametags and lockers through Security department.\nAssist in New Team Members Orientation.\nCoordinate Exit Interviews.\nAccurately handled employment verification requests.\nPrepare Monthly HR Reports and update bulletin boards.\nCreate, update, and maintain HR forms and documentations.\nPerform accurate data entry in ATS and HRIS.\nConduct ATS training sessions as required.\nCoordinate all aspects of Team Member Relations events.\nRespond to general inquiries from Team Members.\nExercise good judgement by escalating matters to the Director of Human Resources as needed, particularly those matters that carry potential risk.\nEnsure confidentiality is maintain at all times.\nComply with federal, state and local laws.\nManage and maintain confidential personnel files and review files for compliance.\nPractice record retention protocols that comply with company policy and labor laws.\nMaintain inventory of all office supplies, stationary, business cards, and office equipment.\nOther duties as assigned.\n

What are we looking for?

\n\nPrior experience in a Human Resources or Employment Coordinator role.\nHotel operations experience, luxury environment preferred.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills required.\nExcellent typing and organizational skills.\nMust maintain a high degree of confidentiality!\nDetail oriented a must.\nMust possess ability to coordinate with multiple tasks.\nStrong computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.\nExcellent communication skills both written/verbal in the English language.\nRequires high levels of interaction with all members of staff.  \nPossess high degree of stamina, agility and flexibility.\nAble to present themselves with an uplifting personality.\nStrong level of professionalism must be displayed at all times.\nWillingness and capacity to learn and apply new systems.\n\n

Desirable

\n\n\nProficiency in Taleo and Oracle Cloud HCM.\nBachelor's degree in hospitality, business or related field.\nBi-lingual communication a plus but not required.\nCapability to use Excel to generate and interpret data reports on business.\nCapability to use PowerPoint beyond required presentation skills and proactively create compelling up to date presentations for the HR team and other hotel departments to use in operations.\nAbility to accurately type 45 words per minute. \n\n\n
