**Position Summary**
The HR Generalist is a highly visible and interactive member of the HR team, supporting daily operations, colleague experience, compliance, safety, and HR initiatives. This role serves as a trusted resource for colleagues and leaders while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and operational excellence.
**Key Responsibilities**
· Support culture initiatives including engagement, recognition, wellness, and appreciation
· Coordinate compliance training and track completion
· Manage work injury and illness reporting and documentation
· Administer workers’ compensation claims
· Maintain OSHA logs and ensure workplace safety compliance
· Coordinate safety committee initiatives
· Track employee certifications and licenses
· Reconcile benefit invoices and support annual enrollment
· Respond to unemployment claims
· Maintain accurate HR data and records
· Support training and development initiatives
· Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and support
· Assist with HR projects and daily operations as assigned
**Qualifications**
· Bilingual in English and Spanish required with strong verbal and written communication skills in both
· Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
· Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
· Familiarity with HR best practices, labor laws, and employee relations preferred
· Experience supporting safety, training, employee relations, or HR operations preferred
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and tools like Canva
· Experience with HRIS systems preferred
· Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the day
· Ability to occasionally lift or move moderate weight
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferred
· Minimum of 2 years of HR experience preferred, ideally in hospitality or service-focused environment
