Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist manages the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through employee relations and compliance. This role coordinates hiring activities, maintains accurate HR documentation, supports leaders with HR guidance, and ensures adherence to employment laws and internal policies. Responsibilities
Manage job postings, monitor applications, and conduct candidate screening to support timely and effective hiring.Coordinate interviews, including scheduling and communication with candidates and hiring teams, while ensuring compliant hiring practices.Oversee onboarding processes for new hires, including documentation, orientation, and integration into the organization.Prepare, update, and maintain HR documentation such as offer letters, promotions, transfers, and terminations.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment regulations and internal HR policies.Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and required compliance postings in alignment with legal and organizational requirements.Assist with unemployment claims by gathering documentation, responding to inquiries, and maintaining accurate records.Support incident reporting processes, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up in coordination with appropriate stakeholders.Support employee relations by responding to employee inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing guidance to leadership on HR-related matters.Assist with the design, coordination, and delivery of training programs and workforce development initiatives.Help communicate HR updates, policy changes, and organizational priorities to staff through clear and timely messaging.Provide HR administrative support, including maintaining employee files, managing HR systems, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping.Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to continuously improve HR processes, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness.Essential Skills
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Human Resources, Management, or a related field.Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.3+ years of experience in human resources or a closely related HR function.Demonstrated experience in recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.Proven experience supporting employee relations and providing HR guidance to leaders and staff.Hands-on experience with HR administration, including documentation, filing, and HR systems.Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices at the local, state, and federal levels.Experience with onboarding processes and supporting new hire integration.Ability to assist with training development and workforce development initiatives.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.Effective problem-solving skills and sound judgment in handling sensitive HR matters.Customer service mindset with a focus on supporting employees and leaders in a professional and responsive manner.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with HR systems and tools to manage employee data and HR processes.Experience in human resource management and HR support functions across the employee lifecycle.Familiarity with filing and maintaining confidential HR records in an accurate and organized manner.Exposure to training development, including coordinating or supporting learning initiatives.Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment and contribute to a positive, purpose-driven culture.Interest in continuous learning and staying current with HR trends, regulations, and best practices.Work Environment
