Employment Type: Full‑Time

Salary Range: $70,000 – $82,500 + benefits

Travel: Up to 10% (domestic and/or international)

Position Overview

An established organization within a manufacturing/light industrial environment is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the day‑to‑day administration and execution of Human Resources activities. Reporting to senior HR leadership, this role plays a key part in supporting employees across the full HR lifecycle, with particular emphasis on payroll, compensation, benefits administration, employee relations, and HR systems.

This is a hands‑on, in‑person role ideal for an HR professional who is comfortable operating independently while partnering closely with leadership and employees across multiple locations.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport HR leadership across core HR functions including payroll, compensation, benefits, and employee lifecycle activitiesAdminister payroll with a high degree of accuracy; independently manage payroll processingAssist employees with benefits enrollment and resolve benefit‑related questions or issuesMaintain employee personnel records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulationsInvestigate and support resolution of employee relations issues, including union and non‑union mattersSupport performance management processes through the HRIS, including training and coordination with leadershipPrepare HR reports and analyze workforce data to support decision‑makingSupport recruiting and hiring activities, including sourcing, onboarding, and coordination of new hire processesAssist with union‑related activities such as disciplinary actions, contract support, and training initiativesSupport implementation and communication of HR policies and the employee handbookRespond promptly to employee and management inquiriesCoordinate and deliver employee and management training, including LMS administration and vendor coordinationPerform additional HR duties as needed to support the departmentQualifications & Experience3–5 years of experience supporting a Human Resources functionDemonstrated ability to independently process payrollStrong working knowledge of HRIS platforms; ADP Workforce Now highly preferredExperience supporting employees across multiple states and locations, including remote employeesWorking knowledge of employment laws across multiple states; California experience strongly preferredExperience in a union environment preferredComfortable navigating ambiguity and managing competing prioritiesStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skillsAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft OfficeAbility to quickly learn and adapt to new HR and business systemsMust be authorized to work in the United StatesEducation & CertificationsAssociate degree or equivalent experience within a manufacturing or light industrial environmentSHRM or HRCI certification preferredCore CompetenciesProblem Solving: Uses data and sound judgment to resolve issues effectivelyHR Knowledge: Demonstrates strong understanding of HR practices and their organizational impactAttention to Detail: Produces accurate, high‑quality work consistentlyInitiative: Proactively identifies needs and takes ownership of solutionsWhy Consider This Opportunity?Stable, in‑person role with strong leadership supportBroad HR exposure across payroll, benefits, ER, recruiting, and systemsOpportunity to work in a multi‑state, union‑inclusive environmentCompetitive salary and benefitsJob Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $82500.00/yr.
