The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in delivering exceptional employee experiences through outstanding customer service, accurate records management, and proactive support of HR operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being a go-to resource for employees and thrives in a hands-on HR environment supporting payroll, benefits, and employee engagement.
ResponsibilitiesServe as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing timely, professional, and service-oriented support.Process bi-monthly payroll.Administer the 401(k) plan.Administer employee benefits and support the annual open enrollment process.Support employee engagement initiatives, events, and internal communications.Support community service initiatives.Maintain a welcoming, responsive, and confidential HR presence for employees and leadership.Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, files, and HR systems.Assist with audits, reporting, and HR data tracking as needed.Assist with employee onboarding, offboarding, and transitions.Assist with company and employee insurance licensing and renewals.Provide support to the Controller with accounting-related tasks as needed.Assist with recruiting and hiring processes as needed.Essential Skills3+ years of HR experience.Experience with Paylocity.SHRM, CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated customer service mindset and ability to handle confidential information.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.Experience with payroll, 401(k), and benefits administration.Experience supporting employee engagement initiatives.Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.Collaborative, approachable, and solution-oriented mindset.Knowledge of basic accounting principles or willingness to learn.SHRM, CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification is a plus.Work EnvironmentThe Human Resources Generalist will work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes a welcoming and responsive presence. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.84 - $36.05/hr.
