We are partnering with a rapidly growing, mission-driven nonprofit organization seeking a Human Resources Generalist to take ownership of core HR functions and support a diverse and values-driven workforce. This position plays a critical role in employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and consistency

• Lead onboarding processes to ensure a positive and compliant new-hire experience

• Administer compensation and benefits programs and support annual reviews

• Maintain accurate and compliant employee personnel records and documentation

• Develop, interpret, and implement HR policies and procedures

• Review and update the Employee Handbook to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Coordinate workers’ compensation, disability, and leave administration

• Support compliance with employment laws including EEO, FMLA, ADA, and related regulations

• Provide guidance and training to supervisors and staff on HR policies and best practices

• Support performance evaluation and employee development programs

• Partner with leadership on hiring decisions aligned with organizational values and mission

What We Are Looking For

• Prior experience in Human Resources with a strong focus on employee relations and onboarding

• Working knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, and best practices

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities

• High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

• Proficiency with basic computer applications including email, word processing, and spreadsheets

Work Environment

• Fully on-site role in Franklin County, MA

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

• Collaborative office environment with close interaction across teams

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.25 - $34.00/hr.
