Human Resources Generalist
Job Title: Human Resources GeneralistPosition Overview The Human Resources Generalist will support a broad range of HR functions, including recruiting and onboarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, payroll coordination, and compliance. This role partners closely with leadership and employees to support day‑to‑day HR operations while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities + Support full-cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring, with an emphasis on delivering a consistent and professional candidate experience + Partner with hiring leaders to support workforce planning and timely hiring decisions + Coordinate and execute new hire onboarding to ensure a smooth and effective transition into the organization + Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices + Manage employee relations matters such as performance concerns, investigations, corrective action, and separations, ensuring consistency and compliance + Assist with employee engagement and retention initiatives + Support performance management processes, including reviews and ongoing feedback + Partner with leadership to promote a positive, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture + Assist with the administration of compensation and employee benefits programs + Support benefits administration, including health plans and retirement programs + Coordinate payroll processing and benefits reconciliation in collaboration with internal partners + Ensure HR practices align with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws + Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within HR systems + Support compliance tracking related to training, safety, and regulatory requirements + Track and report basic HR metrics to support operational and workforce planning decisions + Stay current on HR best practices and recommend process improvements as appropriate Required Qualifications + Five or more years of progressive experience in human resources + Solid working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements + Experience handling employee relations issues, including investigations and corrective action + Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) + Strong written and verbal communication skills + High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation abilities + Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism + Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others + Adaptability and comfort working with a diverse employee population Preferred Qualifications + Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field + Experience working with HRIS platforms Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment and involves regular collaboration with leadership and team members. Standard business hours apply, with occasional flexibility to support recruiting or time‑sensitive HR matters. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Fargo, ND.
