Job Title: HR Generalist

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated HR Generalist to serve as the primary on-site HR representative at a client site in the Inland Empire. This role requires a hands-on approach to addressing employee needs, ensuring smooth HR operations, and providing immediate support. The HR Generalist will collaborate closely with a remote HR team to maintain compliance and deliver thoughtful assistance.

Responsibilities

Serve as the on-site HR point of contact for employee inquiries and support.Partner with leaders and employees to foster a positive and respectful work environment.Triage issues and collaborate with the remote HR team on escalations and complex matters.Support onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, documentation, and daily People Ops needs.Bring structure, consistency, and positivity to the employee experience.Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.Coordinate hiring efforts, including posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and preparing offer letters.Administer employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive new-hire experience.Address employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, leave, and workplace concerns.Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, both physical and digital.Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee education.Support employee relations activities, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.Assist with training programs, employee engagement initiatives, and performance review processes.Prepare HR reports and support audits as needed.

Essential Skills

3-5+ years of experience in HR, ideally in a generalist role.Strong in employee relations, onboarding, and benefits administration.Proficient in HR documentation and reporting.Knowledge of local employment laws.Experience with HRIS systems, with ADP experience being a plus.Ability to audit timecards for compliance purposes.Support for leave of absence processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Some recruiting experience is beneficial, but the focus is on general HR tasks.A BA Degree or HR certification is highly preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is 100% on-site at a client location, with a flexible start time around 8 AM. The client site operates 24 hours, so early start times are possible if requested. You will be part of a consulting company that values creating enjoyable workplaces by keeping HR simple and human. The team is small, close-knit, and supportive, providing outsourced HR services to multiple clients across the US. While you will be the face of HR on-site, you will work for a consulting company and receive support from a remote HR team. The role requires interaction with a diverse range of employees, from field workers to C-suite executives, and demands an approachable yet assertive demeanor to ensure HR compliance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Corona, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
