HR Generalist

The HR Generalist is a key contributor to the HR team, responsible for delivering high-quality support across payroll, benefits, compliance, employee relations, and daily HR operations. This role requires a detail-oriented, proactive professional with strong multi-state payroll experience and deep knowledge of HR best practices.

Payroll ProcessingOversee full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing for exempt and non-exempt employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Research, troubleshoot, and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.Prepare, audit, and submit payroll reports while maintaining strict data integrity and confidentiality.Set up and manage state payroll tax accounts, collaborating with ADP and state agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.Benefits AdministrationAdminister comprehensive employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, LTD/STD, and 401(k) plans.Coordinate open enrollment, ensuring employees receive clear, accurate information on plan options and changes.Process benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and terminations in ADP Workforce Now and Fidelity.Serve as a point of contact for benefits inquiries and collaborate with carriers to resolve issues.HR OperationsMaintain, audit, and update employee records in ADP Workforce Now to ensure accuracy and compliance with HR policies and employment laws.checks, new hire paperwork, and employee orientation.Support employee relations by addressing concerns, facilitating resolutions, and promoting a positive work environment.Compliance & ReportingEnsure HR practices remain compliant with all applicable labor laws and regulations.Prepare and submit required regulatory filings, including EEO-1, ACA, and other compliance reports.Stay current on HR trends, legal updates, and evolving best practices to support continuous improvement.Employee Support & EngagementAct as a resource for employees, providing guidance on policies, payroll, benefits, and general HR matters.Participate in HR initiatives, training, and programs that strengthen employee engagement and workplace culture.Required Skills & Experience3–5+ years of HR experience in a generalist or similar HR capacity.Proven experience with multi-state, full-cycle payroll (exempt & non-exempt) using ADP Workforce Now.Strong knowledge of benefits administration, open enrollment processes, and 401(k) plans.Experience supporting employee relations and leave of absence (FMLA, state leave programs).Familiarity with onboarding, recruitment support, and HRIS data management.Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
