HR Generalist – Howmet Aerospace Howmet Aerospace is seeking a proactive and experienced HR Generalist to join our collaborative HR team. This role provides critical support to the HR team and helps drive the daily operations of the HR department. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys organizing employee events, and brings a passion for recruiting, onboarding, payroll support, and administrative excellence. You’ll work closely with HR colleagues and cross-functional leaders to enhance processes, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure smooth execution of HR programs that support both our people and our business. Key Responsibilities Recruiting & Onboarding + Partner with hiring managers to forecast staffing needs and develop targeted recruitment strategies + Post job openings, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and coordinate the full hiring process + Coordinate onboarding for new hires, ensuring a welcoming and compliant experience from offer to orientation + Administer relocation support for internal transfers and new hires Payroll Support + Assist with timekeeping and payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness + Coordinate with supervisors and employees to resolve timecard issues and ensure proper approvals + Support payroll reporting and reconciliation tasks as needed HR Administration + Maintain accurate employee records and support HRIS data integrity + Assist with benefits administration, training coordination, and policy documentation + Support HR projects and initiatives with attention to detail and follow-through Employee Relations & Engagement + Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and conflict resolution + Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures with professionalism and empathy + Organize employee appreciation events, celebrations, and morale-boosting activities Performance & Talent Management + Support performance review cycles and development planning Compliance & Ethics + Ensure adherence to employment laws, company policies, and ethical standards + Monitor and interpret regulatory changes, applying them appropriately across the organization Core Competencies + Team-Oriented: Works collaboratively, communicates openly, and contributes to a supportive HR culture + Organized & Detail-Focused: Manages multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency + Business-Minded: Understands operational rhythms and aligns HR strategies with business goals + Flexible & Adaptable: Navigates shifting priorities and handles a variety of tasks with ease + Culturally Attuned: Reads people well and adapts communication style to fit the audience + Event-Savvy: Enjoys planning and executing employee events that build connection and engagement + Payroll-Aware: Understands payroll processes and supports accurate, compliant execution Why Join Us? Four-year degree in Human Resources or five years' experience in talent acquisition and human resources. Experience with manufacturing, engineering, and skilled labor recruitment required. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with talent acquisition software. Ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders with integrity and confidentiality.
