Human Resources Generalist
Job Title: Human Resources Generalist Job Description We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for managing various HR processes including Leave of Absences, disability claims, and work comp claims in compliance with FMLA and state/local regulations Responsibilities + Process Leave of Absences and disability claims while complying with FMLA and state/local regulations. + Process work comp claims and maintain communication with managers and injured employees. + Perform accurate and efficient data entry. + Provide excellent customer service to employees and others. + Verify, review, file, and track daily safety documentation such as cleaning checklists. + Send periodic tracking reports to applicable leaders. + Track, report, and follow up on quarterly random DOT drug testing. + Review and approve forklift observations, processing them as applicable. + Send follow-up for incomplete forklift trainings and prepare quarterly completion reports. + Maintain DOT Driver folders and support safety projects, initiatives, and communication. + Serve as a backup for other processes within the department. + Complete additional projects under management direction. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Human resources expertise, particularly in workers' compensation and FMLA. + Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy. + Strong oral and written communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel. + Ability to work with confidential information with integrity and professionalism. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s Degree and over 1 year of human resources experience or equivalent education and experience, preferred but not required. + Experience with UKG Pro, preferred but not required. + Ability to stay focused and on task in a fast-paced environment. + Quick learning ability for software and other technology. + Capability to work collaboratively with quick turnaround times. + Ability to inquire for clarity on tasks and projects. Work Environment This role operates in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The position may involve quick turnaround times and requires the ability to maintain focus amidst various tasks. Professional attire is expected, and the use of technologies such as Microsoft Office and UKG Pro is integral to daily functions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $37.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
