Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist will provide comprehensive administrative support across all human resource functions, including systems administration, benefits, leave management, employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, training and development, and compliance. This role is pivotal in offering day-to-day HR support and counsel to employees and leaders in alignment with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
ResponsibilitiesPerform administrative tasks to support effective operations of the HR department, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance management, and training.Provide guidance and ensure consistent implementation of HR programs, policies, and procedures.Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, and facilitating hiring decisions.Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and paperwork completion.Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.Stay updated on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies.Assist with developing and implementing employee training and development programs.Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files and HRIS data.Perform other duties as assigned.Ensure regular and reliable attendance.Essential Skills3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, including recruiting, performance management, training, timekeeping, and payroll support.Experience with HR policies and procedures.Industry experience in manufacturing.Proficiency with ADP (Workforce Now or Next Generation) and full-cycle recruiting.Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.Preferred SHRM, PHR, or HRCI certification.Additional Skills & Qualifications5 or more years of experience in human resources with a high school diploma or equivalent, or a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources with 2 years of relevant experience.Thorough knowledge of HR/legal standards, programs, and processes.Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Experience with HRIS and ADP Workforce Now preferred.Strong attention to detail and outstanding customer service skills.Ability to work independently and in a team, managing projects within deadlines.Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.Experience with Unions and Union employees preferred.Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite at the manufacturing plant, with working hours typically from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional overtime. The role involves a general office environment with occasional exposure to production areas that may have airborne particles, loud noises, and extreme temperatures. Personal protection equipment is required in the manufacturing plant. There may be occasional travel to other locations for training.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $72000.00 - $96000.00/yr.
