We are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join our rapidly growing Engineering and Design company. This role will be based in our Canmore office and requires a proactive individual who can manage various HR functions, ensuring policy compliance and fostering a positive workplace culture.
ResponsibilitiesCreate and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment legislation and professional regulatory frameworks.Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, supporting conflict resolution and promoting a positive workplace culture.Coordinate recruitment efforts including job postings, screening, and interviewing, and facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires.Administer employee leave programs, including vacation, sick leave, and maternity/parental leave, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of time off and overtime.Maintain employee records and HR databases, and prepare HR reports and documentation as needed.Support the implementation of training programs and professional development initiatives.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist, including recruiting and executive administrative duties.Experience in implementing training and onboarding documents.Past experience supporting hiring with job postings and writing employment letters.Recruiting experience.Familiarity with Western Canada employment laws.Bachelor's Degree or Diploma with a focus on Human Resources, or CPHR designation.Additional Skills & QualificationsCPHR designation is a plus.Experience in the power industry is beneficial.Work Environment
Our work environment is supportive and dynamic, offering remote work options until November. We maintain flexible working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. As the sole HR person, you will report to the Operations Manager based in Langley and receive direction from three main executives. You will support all locations including Langley, Calgary, and Canmore, with a few remote workers. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.86/hr.
