Human Resources Generalist
Human Resources Generalist Job Description The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in administering payroll, managing insurance and 401(k) portfolios, and overseeing the ERChealth program. This position is responsible for new hire onboarding, handling FMLA, Workers Compensation, and Unemployment claims, and managing the hourly recruiting process. The HR Generalist also leads associate engagement activities and programs, conducts exit interviews, and provides coaching to first-level supervisors. Responsibilities + Administer payroll including all changes, terminations, new associates, and reporting. + Manage insurance and 401(k) portfolios, including billing reconciliation and new associate setup. + Encourage associate participation in the ERChealth program. + Complete new hire onboarding processes. + Manage FMLA, Workers Compensation, and Unemployment claims. + Conduct face-to-face interviews and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants. + Oversee associate recognition programs. + Lead associate engagement activities and events. + Assist in managing engagement programs. + Conduct hourly exit interviews, analyze data, and recommend continuous improvements. + Coach first-level supervisors on performance management and associate relations issues. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in a related field. + Minimum three to five years of general human resources experience. + Experience with payroll, benefits, employee relations, and ATS systems. + Human resources expertise. + Employee relations skills. + Onboarding and recruiting experience.
