Human Resources Generalist
Description Our client is a mission-driven nonprofit is seeking a talented and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to join their team. This role is perfect for an experienced HR professional who is passionate about supporting employees and fostering a positive and productive workplace culture, all while contributing to an impactful cause. Key Responsibilities: + Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires to ensure seamless transitions. + Act as a trusted resource for staff, assisting in resolving workplace concerns and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. + Interpret and enforce HR policies, ensuring they comply with applicable labor laws and promote equity and fairness. + Oversee employee benefits programs, including open enrollment, new hire enrollment, and addressing employee inquiries. + Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and stay updated on trends and changes. + Support initiatives focused on employee growth, including identifying training needs, conducting sessions, and tracking progress. + Assist in tracking and analyzing key HR metrics to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making. + Advocate for a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace while reinforcing the organization’s mission and values. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field required. HR certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent are a plus. + 3-5 years of experience in human resources, preferably within the nonprofit sector or a mission-driven organization. + Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices. + Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to multitask, prioritize, and operate in a fast-paced environment. + Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to collaboration and confidentiality.
