Human Resources Generalist
Description Our client, an established organization in San Diego, CA is seeking a skilled and versatile Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join their growing team. The HR Generalist will play a critical role in supporting vital HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and fostering a positive, engaging workplace environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive HR professional to make an impact in a collaborative and fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities + Act as a point of contact for employees to address concerns, resolve workplace issues, and promote employee engagement. + Support the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and facilitating new hire onboarding. + Ensure company policies are up to date and comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain employee records in accordance with compliance requirements. + Facilitate employee training programs and assist managers in identifying growth opportunities for team members. + Assist with payroll processes, benefits enrollment, and addressing employee questions related to compensation and benefits. + Support performance evaluation processes, goal setting, and coaching efforts to drive continuous improvement. + Prepare and analyze HR-related data, including turnover, retention, and recruitment metrics, to inform HR strategies. + Assist with company-wide HR initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion programs, community engagement, or HRIS implementation. Requirements + Minimum of 3 years of relevant HR experience (generalist-level responsibility preferred). + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. + Professional certifications such as SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) are a plus. + Familiarity with HRIS software (e.g., Workday, ADP), as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). + Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and team-building skills. + Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. + Solid understanding of employment laws, wage regulations, and HR compliance standards.
