Purpose
The Data Analyst - Human Resources plays a critical role in translating HR data into actionable insights. This role supports decision-making through identifying Human Capital trends, developing and interpreting employee engagement surveys and supporting data driven workforce planning through reporting, analytics, survey development, and workforce metrics tracking. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about improving business outcomes through data.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Direction
Receive direction and guidance from HR leadership to ensure alignment with department goals and organizational priorities.Partner with HR leadership to interpret data and provide strategic insights that inform talent strategies and organizational effectiveness.Collaborate across HR functions and with other departments to deliver data-driven support for strategic initiatives.Lead the development and execution of employee engagement and exit survey strategies that align with business needs.At the Operational and Company Level
Build and maintain recurring and ad hoc HR reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, and UKG.Analyze and present data driven insights related to headcount, turnover, retention, hiring, promotions, and compensation.Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Finance to align reporting with workforce planning and strategy.Support the design, distribution, and analysis of surveys including engagement, onboarding, exit, and diversity surveys using Qualtrics or similar platforms.Validate and scrub data to ensure accuracy across HR systems.Help develop and track HR metrics and KPIs to support executive reporting, in-sights and decision-making.Assist in creating presentation materials that communicate data findings clearly and effectively.Do the Work
Run reports and extract data from UKG, iCIMS, and other internal sources.Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities based on data analysis.Document processes and maintain SOPs for reporting and data management.Ensure compliance with data privacy and employment laws in all data handling and reporting.Provide timely and accurate insights to support HR program evaluation and continuous improvement.Design, administer and analyze employee engagement, pulse and exit surveys.Respond to ad hoc data requests.Success Metrics and Competencies
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data reporting.Ability to interpret and simplify complex data for broad audiences.Proficiency in Excel and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.Improve data literacy across HR by establishing self-service reporting and training.Comfort working with large datasets and multiple data sources.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to collaboration, confidentiality, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, statistics, human resources, business, or a related field.Three or more years of experience in data analysis, preferably within an HR or talent-related function.Experience using UKG and iCIMS for reporting and data extraction.Experience with Qualtrics or other survey platforms.Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, formulas, and data visualization.Proficiency with Power BI or other dashboarding tools.Knowledge of data query tools(SQL), statistical methods and predictive modeling is a plus.
