Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist serves as a trusted HR partner to employees and leaders across multiple service centers. This role is responsible for delivering a seamless onboarding experience, administering workers’ compensation processes, and providing responsive day‑to‑day HR support.

Key Responsibilities1. Onboarding & New Hire ExperienceManage the full-cycle onboarding process from offer acceptance through the first 90 days.Initiate, monitor, and complete onboarding workflows in Paylocity, including:New hire documentationI‑9 verification and E‑Verify complianceDirect deposit and tax formsBenefits enrollment coordinationCollaborate with hiring managers to ensure new hires receive proper tools, system access, and training.Conduct new hire orientation (virtual and/or onsite).Track onboarding metrics to ensure timely completion of all required items.2. Workers’ Compensation AdministrationServe as the primary point of contact for all workers’ compensation claims.File First Reports of Injury (FROI) in a timely and compliant manner.Coordinate communication between employees, insurance carriers, adjusters, and leadership.Track claim progress, return‑to‑work documentation, and medical restrictions.Support modified duty assignments and return‑to‑work programs.Maintain accurate records and ensure OSHA log updates when applicable.Partner with Safety and Operations teams to analyze trends and reduce workplace incidents.3. Employee Support & HR OperationsAct as the first point of contact for routine HR inquiries.Provide guidance on policies, benefits, payroll, timekeeping, PTO, and compliance requirements.Assist leaders with employee relations matters and documentation.Maintain accurate employee data and records within Paylocity.Support payroll by auditing employee changes and resolving discrepancies.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.Assist with performance management processes and related documentation.Support employee engagement initiatives and company‑wide programs.Required Skills & Experience3+ years of HR Generalist or advanced HR Coordinator experience.Strong proficiency with Paylocity (onboarding, HRIS, time/labor reporting).Experience with workers’ compensation administration.Working knowledge of I‑9 compliance, FLSA, and OSHA basics.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables preferred) and Word.Experience with:Leave of Absence administrationBenefits administrationLMS platformsHR reporting and analyticsOnboarding and employee record managementJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
