Human Resources Compensation and Business Analyst

Summary of Responsibilities: 

The HR Compensation & Business Analyst is responsible for owning and executing all compensation-related programs and initiatives across the organization. This role partners with HR leadership and HR Business Partners to ensure competitive, equitable, and compliant compensation practices. The analyst also designs and maintains dashboards with Power BI and reports to deliver actionable insights across HR functions.

Key Responsibilities 

Compensation Strategy and Administration 

Conduct job evaluations, market pricing, and internal equity analysis 

Maintain Job architecture frameworks, including job levels and pay structures 

Ensure consistency in leveling and job documentation by understanding how roles relate across functions and the broader organization 

Support or lead annual compensation cycles, including merit and bonus planning 

Partner with Talent Acquisition to develop competitive offers 

Ensure compliance with FLSA, pay equity, and transparency regulations 

HR Analytics and Reporting 

Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI to support HR functions 

Generate recurring and ad hoc reports to inform workforce decisions 

Collaborate with HR stakeholders to deliver actionable insights 

Produce all people/HR related analytics reporting, including turnover, cost per hire, days to fill 

Data and Government/Regulatory Reporting 

Utilize HRIS (UKG) to produce all government related reporting, including EEO-1 

Support reporting for sales bid requests and regulatory compliance requirements 

Cross-Functional Partnership 

Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to ensure compensation practices align with business needs 

Provide tools, guidance, and training to HR and recruiting teams on compensation policies and offer guidelines 

Serve as the primary point of contact for all compensation-related inquiries 

Work with IT and BI teams on creating analytical solutions 

Required Qualifications: 

Experience and Education 

Minimum of 2+ year's experience in compensation, HR, or data analysis 

Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, Finance or related field 

Transportation knowledge preferred 

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) Designation preferred 

Technical Skills 

Proficiency required in Power BI and MS Excel 

In-depth knowledge of UKG, HR business processes, functions and procedures
