As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will collaborate with the Plant Manager and HR Manager to foster a culture of positive organizational change. You will advocate for the unique needs of the manufacturing workforce and plant leadership, address organizational capability gaps, and deliver talent development solutions. This role requires effective partnership with training peers and HR management to support team member development and engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities
+ Partner with managers to set aligned, measurable goals and provide ongoing performance feedback.
+ Support leaders in executing the annual performance management processes effectively and compliantly.
+ Develop proactive strategies to attract key talent for the manufacturing operation.
+ Manage the full talent acquisition process for all associate-level roles, including job postings, resume review, interviewing, offer letters, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
+ Support management in executing the salary planning process and administer pay changes.
+ Perform day-to-day operational and tactical human resources activities as required.
+ Ensure HR policies, procedures, and reporting remain compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
+ Complete administration of HR programs, including processing team member enrollments, terminations, and status changes.
+ Maintain accurate and compliant personnel files, discipline records, and electronic documentation.
+ Support and coach Plant Management through team member relations issues, providing appropriate recommendations.
+ Process and coordinate FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Workers’ Compensation claims, and leaves of absence.
+ Fulfill OSHA requirements for the facility and support plant compliance audits.
+ Audit employment law postings regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance.
+ Consistently exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
+ Support annual HR cycle deliverables, including performance management, merit and bonus programs, and benefits enrollment.
+ Conduct new hire onboarding (virtual and in-person) and ensure accurate team member data entry into the HRIS.
+ Assist with planning and coordinating team member appreciation events, wellness initiatives, and open enrollment activities.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
+ 3+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources administration and activities, with 1+ years in a manufacturing environment.
+ Plant manufacturing experience is required, with food industry experience being a plus.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in ambiguous environments.
+ Demonstrated resiliency and a 'can do' attitude in the workplace.
+ Strong business acumen and collaborative approach in working with a diverse, inclusive organization.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to partner closely with mid-senior level leadership.
+ Proficient with Microsoft programs, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, and Outlook.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in employee relations, human resource management, recruiting, onboarding, and employee benefits.
+ Strong customer service and administrative support skills.
+ Proven experience in HR administration and compliance.
Work Environment
This position requires onsite work with standard hours from 8 AM to 4 PM. Occasionally, you will be required to work from 7 AM to 3:30 PM to overlap with third shifters.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Avon, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $42.00/hr.
