The Human Resource Business Partner has responsibility for, employee relations, workforce management activities, driving continuous improvement, employee engagement, and communications, with total factory workforce at approximately 1,000 employees.

 

This is an Onsite role at our La Crosse, WI location

As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for a focused factory team within the business with responsibility for employee relations, workforce management activities, driving continuous improvement, talent management, employee engagement, and communications. This role will be highly focused on labor relations in addition to supporting strategic HR initiatives and programs.

 

This role has been designated as On-Site at our La Crosse, WI campus

 

What you will do:

· Function as a strategic business partner to members within the La Crosse Operations Team.

· Provide leadership, guidance, and counsel on matters related to talent, organizational change and human capital.

· Promote and deliver on initiatives to drive positive culture and workforce climates, positive employee relations, open lines of communication and effective labor relations.

· Conduct investigations related to workplace violations of policy, work rules and EHS rules including harassment, ethics or discrimination complaints within the focused factory team.

· Address employee relations issues, such as allegations, complaints, or other concerns brought up from employees.

· Work with focused factory leadership in delivering to the local communication plan establishing consistent messages and improving employee communications processes. Facilitate two-way communications between focused factory leadership, production leaders, salaried employees and production employees.

· Conduct HR training as required, including annual compliance training.

· Develop and execute an HR plan aligned with business objectives, to include organizational design, succession planning, talent management, goal alignment, and communications.

· Drive a culture of standard work and operational excellence across the business both in the plant and across the various business processes.

· Various HR related administrative takes including reporting, auditing, and employee movement.

· Partner on tasks within the recruitment process and new employee onboarding.

· Champion Trane Technologies business strategy and culture change – lead the transformation for the businesses.

· Organizational Transformation: Lead the transformation efforts required to build organizational capability to achieve business goals

· Functional Expert: Deliver maximum HR services at most efficient cost

 

What you will bring:

The successful candidate will have demonstrated “world-class” competencies in a human resources role preferably in a diversified industrial or operational environment. He or she must have exceptional leadership skills in organizational strategy, experience with in dept investigations and documentation, identifying and developing organizational capability, and change management. The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience in both manufacturing and of lean methodologies. This key leader will have cross functional HR leadership experience across all areas of Human Resources.

 

What we expect of you:

· Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.

· 5+ years’ experience in Human Resource function; labor relations experience in a union environment preferred.

· Knowledge of and experience in a manufacturing operations environment preferred

 

Ideally, you would also be familiar with one or more of the following:

· Drive and enable cultural transformation to support a Progressive, Diverse, and Inclusive environment.

· Provide guidance in establishing and leading a sustainable strategic workforce plan for the focused factory team, including appropriate interpretation and administration of applicable contractual provisions.

· Collaborate with local HR business partners to share best practices, critical needs issues, and local site and sector initiatives.

· Create positive change through coaching, counseling, and influencing skills.

· Monitor employee climate to identify issues/trends; counsel focused factory leadership on identifying issues and implementing corrective actions, while also identifying opportunities to increase engagement.

· Provide leadership, guidance and support in creating an employee engagement strategy that facilitates organizational performance and enables successful organizational change.

· Facilitate talent stewardship through communication and training on HR practices and processes.

· Regularly participate and provide guidance in business discussions and decisions with focused factory leadership.

· Act as employee advocate through effective labor and employee relations.

· Facilitate conflict resolution activities and assist supervisors and focused factory leadership through conflict resolution.

 

Base Compensation Range is $80-$100K

This will also include an incentive.
