As a Human Resources Assistant, the position is highly needed to ensure a smooth execution of human resources duties for internal employees. The Human Resources Assistant has a large role in the company and serves as a point of contact for new and current employees.
Responsibilities:
Post job openings for shore side and vessel based positions along with working with other recruiters in the pipelinesSchedule interviews and communicate with interested applicantsPrepare offer letters, pre-employment screening forms, background checks, physicals, drug testing, etc.Conduct and support new hire orientation along with documenting for file keepingMaintain HR information such as employee information, licenses, training, medical, etc.Ensure policies are followed and consistently communicated with managementServe as point of contact for HR questions and resolving issues before going to senior HRProvide support for employees, disciplinary actions and investigations as directedHelp setting up company and recognition programsAssist with employee benefit programs, changes and any employee questions related to current benefitsEnsure payroll is done timely for new hires, transfers and terminated employeesSupport leave administration including FMLA, disability and leave requestsEducation: High School
High School Diploma or EquivalentExperience: 12 months
